Welcome to the National Guard
State Family Readiness Council (NGSFRC)

The State Family Readiness Council of the New Jersey National Guard sincerely appreciates your interest in our endeavors. The council, a non –profit organization consists of 20-25 volunteers of individuals that are trying to make a difference in the lives of our New Jersey citizen soldiers, airmen and their families.

Since its inception in 2004, the Council has raised more than $1,000,000 for programs to benefit our “Hometown Heroes” and their families. The Council is proud to report that 98.2% of all donations directly benefit our National Guard families.

The focus of our support efforts has been the Council’s Family and Business Grant Program. To date, we have awarded more than $1,000,000 to New Jersey National Guard members or to their families who are facing financial hardships during military deployment. These grants are vital in keeping National Guard families financially afloat.

Military operations and deployments will only continue for the New Jersey Army and Air National Guard. We currently have 300 soldiers presently in Iraq, and happy to report the safe return of 3,000 this past summer. We anticipate future deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in 2010. As we look ahead, it is clear our “Hometown Heroes” will depend on concerned citizens, businesses and communities to help them through this long and worrisome year.

In an effort to ensure that our council can continue to help those who will be affected in a financial way, donations are gratefully accepted and can be sent to our mailing address:

Checks can be made out to National Guard State Family Readiness Council (SFRC) Our tax ID number is 86-1106535.
